Purple roses for the shop. Because welding caps don't have to be boring.

This Purple Rose Welding Cap is handmade by me, Cayley, from a fabric I designed myself, so you won't find this print on anybody else's cap. Moody purple and lavender roses with deep blue leaves and gilded swirls, finished with a solid black band and a matching rose bill.

It's reversible: purple roses on one side, solid black on the other. When one side gets sweaty or grimy halfway through the week, flip it and keep going.

Every cap is one of a kind

Each cap is hand cut and sewn by me, so the fabric lands a little differently on every single one. Even in the same fabric and pattern, your cap won't match the photos exactly. The roses will fall in different spots on the panels and bill. That's part of what makes a handmade cap special: no two are exactly alike.

Why 8 panels?

Most welding caps are only 6 panels. This one has 8 panels, so it's deeper than a regular welding cap and sits right above your eyebrows instead of perching on top of your head. That extra depth makes it a great fit for women with longer or thicker hair, and it has plenty of room if you want to wear your hair up in a bun or ponytail under it.

• 7: about 22" head
• 7 1/8: about 22 3/8" head

Fitted cap with a comfortable band. Cotton has a little give, but there's no adjustable strap.

How to measure: wrap a soft tape measure around your head where the cap will sit, about a finger's width above your eyebrows and ears. If you're between sizes, size up.

Hand wash or gentle cycle in cold water. Lay flat or hang to dry so it keeps its shape.
